In all honesty, I was the one against utilizing pageant coaches. I felt as if they all seemed to produce cookie cutter contestants. My daughter has only been competing in pageants for 3 years now, and while we may still be fairly new to the pageant world, we can all see how pageants have continued to evolve over the years. Can a girl win without a coach, of course, but just as in any other sport having a coach may be what you need to be more competitive in the top systems.Thankfully in 2018 after my daughter competed in her 1st national pageant, we met the Believe family. My daughter has been a model for a long time and is comfortable in front of the camera. The experience she has working with Chris and his camera is different than any other photographer she has met. He is able to catch the light, add a pose and create magic. My daughter’s headshots won a National Photogenic Award this past July. Her high fashion shoots with him are incredible as well. We will continue to utilize Believe Photography for all of our headshot and studio needs.

Where do I begin.. it all started with the giveaway when our (yes me and the kid) lives were charged. She smiled more and found her truth. My youth never put in as much work because the support from a coach was not there and with Believe Pageant Consulting the kid knew her mission and knew she had to execute. When she get that "let's go! " from coach Chris and those emails from Coach Leah, she knew she was destined for greatness. Imani changed my life! I realized most of our coaching revolved around her bringing out the potential in me. I had previous coaches before joining the believe family and honestly I didn’t know that coaches could really connect with their clients. Whenever I’d see people post their coaches/clients and say how much they love them and connected with them and sometimes even refer to their clients/coaches as a “friend” I’d always think “yeah right! People would do anything for social media”. That is because I never experienced that connection myself and honestly I really thought those posts were fake. But it truly IS a FAMILY here. Imani made me realize that I had “IT” all along, all I needed was someone to help me bring IT out. We all have a life outside of pageantry and sometimes when life goes wrong, it affects us as a contestant. Imani became a friend of mine and helped me through a HARD time in my life. I lost my confidence and my worth but because of how she was there for me, I felt better and kept pushing. I felt like a baby who was trying to walk but kept falling and Imani held my hand every step of the way. Life caught me off guard but Imani was there to catch me. Coach Chris and his family became my family too!!! At my last pageant, my family couldn’t make it and they were there for me and offered to support me in any way they can. I went to my room and cried tears of gratefulness. I prayed for a time like this, a time when I could have a pageant family but God went above and beyond and gave me a 2nd family that I can count on even outside of pageantry. the believe family is not money hungry, show NO favoritism and truly connects with their clients. That’s why I fell in love with them. You could feel their passion towards YOU not your money. My confidence in interview started when I had ONE coaching session with coach Leah. She made me realize that I needed to give myself more credit. There’s always something we can improve on but we need to learn to acknowledge the good.They believe in me more than I believe in myself. Imani doesn’t know this but at some point I gave up on pageantry but I had one coaching session with her and just seeing in her eyes how much she believed in me, I decided not to give up. The passion in her voice and her eyes gave me more reasons to fight for my dreams. This woman truly changed the way I see myself and the way I see life. The believe family is MORE than pageant coaching, it’s a lifestyle! I love it here.

Honestly, there’s so much to learn in pageantry! After 3years, I’m still learning everyday..My #1 advise is that you would want to start with a coach that you can trust 100%+ with his/her expertise, professionalism, availability, talent, excellent work ethic, and experience. We feel truly blessed that we found our believe family, who we can easily communicate or ask a question and get the most honest answer at any stage of training for your child on a comfortable level. By all means, they have such amazing set of staff/coaches who you can easily explain what each competition is looking for and whatever the topics maybe making it always a fun, effective, educational and positively interactive coaching session!To our family, this meant the WORLD, since we were looking for a role-model that our girls absolutely adored and looked up-to. As a mom, I love the fact that they are fore-most loving & people first always and go out of their ways to try to help and support your daughter always! Believe was probably the BEST decision we’ve made as a family entering the WA State to National pageantry during last year. To make the long story short, we are still amazed ‘til this day and extremely blessed to have 2 of our girls being honored as the 2021 National American Miss at Jr. Preteen and Preteen division as Miss Washington!! Our girls can’t wait again to connect with Believe Family to prepare for their next upcoming pageants. We met Coach Chris at our very first pageant back in 2019 and ever since then we have had many opportunities to work with such fabulous coaches from Believe. We still CANNOT forget what Coach Chris said after Sharon’s very first National stage back in 2019, CA. And guess what? Our girls dreams came TRUE one by one after 2 years of training. Our Sharon had placed first runner-up on her first Nationals back in 2019, then on her second Nationals, she won the red carpet correspondent from the entire PreTeen division, came home with numerous awards plus 2 talent agency call-backs. But best of all, we were super proud of her hard-work, when we received her NAM report card. From working with Believe Family just several months leading up to the Nationals, Sharon has earned the highest interview score from the entire division. For instance, the biggest challenge for our girls was the live interview. However, after several meetings with coach Shayla and coach Imani who are such a wonderful mentors, role-models, and coaches for our girls, all of them were able to go back to the second nationals without a doubt. We are forever grateful and our girls are excited to achieve their goals and they know how to set goals, sharpen their skills and always strive to work hard and play hard. What a blessing it has been to have on our side Believe Coaches/Mentors (Coach Chris & Coach Shayla) and Coach Imani, who are the biggest cheerleaders for our girls always and especially throughout the National week! They really stood out of audience to cheer on each one of the girls and we are forever grateful for their undivided love & support!!! They truly inspired our children to become a genuine and confident leader for this country. Despite their own busy schedule during the Nationals 2021, we truly were touched by HOW the entire family showed their love, care, support, prayer, words of encouragement as a TRUE family until the very end of the finale, and been there for each of our girls (whether they won or not) and NEVER forgot to remind them the important lesson that continues beyond the results. We truly believe that it was a blessing that we had the opportunity to cross the road through pageantry!! We’ve seen the positive growth, impact and confidence in our girls that comes from training for not only outer appearance of beauty but working on their inner strength of being powerful and beautiful inside out! Thanks to Coach Shayla and Imani, our girls hope to be a loving, caring, kind, yet empowering young leader just like them one day for this state and stand to make the USA proud. We simply can’t wait to see what future holds for each of them and are extremely thrilled for this journey with Believe consulting! Helping our girls to unleash their superpowers, working tirelessly to improve and strive in multiple areas of competition, we are confident that our girls will be able to set goals to achieve their highest set of standards for the next chapter of their pageant journey.
